NMSU Announces Spring 2024 Outstanding Graduate Award Recipients

The Alumni Association of New Mexico State University has revealed the recipients of the Outstanding Graduate Award for the spring of 2024. Among the seven awardees, representing each college of the university plus the Graduate School, are standout students who have showcased excellence in scholarship, service, and leadership.

The honorees for the Outstanding Graduate Award are as follows:

- Sophia Fuentes, College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences

- Atlantis Moses, College of Arts and Sciences

- Nate Mullenniex, College of Business

- Guillermo Juan-Daniel Soltero, College of Engineering

- Irwin Yonathan Ramirez Diaz, College of Health, Education and Social Transformation

- Sandra Oduro, Graduate School, College of Arts and Sciences, Master’s

- Tingting Tong, Graduate School, College of Arts and Sciences, Doctoral

According to Sylvia Y. Acosta, NMSU Foundation CEO, "These students are not only academically accomplished but have also proven themselves dedicated to service and leadership. They have excelled in their fields of study and beyond and demonstrated a passion for positive change. We can’t wait to see how these Aggies will make an impact in the world."

The selection process for the Outstanding Graduate Award involves deans and nomination committees evaluating candidates based on their exceptional academic achievements, leadership skills, and involvement in extracurricular activities. Each student will receive recognition during the NMSU spring 2024 Commencement ceremony.

The Outstanding Graduate Award is a prestigious tradition at NMSU, signifying a significant honor for its recipients. The winners of this semester's award will be celebrated at the Outstanding Graduates Luncheon on May 10. The event will be hosted on the NMSU Foundation website at www.nmsualumni.org and shared on the @NMSUAlumFriends social media pages.
